Disc Jockeys and Different Types


Disc Jockey:
A disc jockey or radio jockey is an individual who presents, mixes and links recorded music for radio audiences or a live audiences. He uses different techniques and tricks to amuse his viewers, including cueing, slip-cueing, audio mixing, phrasing, phrase cutting, cutting, scratching, pitch control, cross fading, effects handling, beat balancing, beat related, needle drops, testing and sequencing.
DJs can be categorized based on various aspects, such as the type of songs played, DJ equipment, techniques, target audience, events and settings. There are four types of Disc Jockeys Bangalore such as Radio DJ, Mobile DJ, Hip Hop DJ and Club DJ.
Radio DJ:
Radio DJs choose and play music that is broadcast through the radio. They play music for radio listeners instead of a live audience. Radio DJs enjoy much more independence in selecting the tracks in the playlist. They often talk to the audience, solve their queries and take music requests from them. Also, they get ready for entertaining shows, run contests and take discussions of important persons. You may come across DJs working with different radio channels which have different frequency modules.
Mobile DJ:
Mobile DJs usually play from a wide selection of pre-recorded songs for particular audience at weddings, regional activities, banquets, dances, spiritual activities, regional charitable organization activities or other private functions. They travel with their own DJ equipment and portable audio systems. Mobile DJs generally play more popular songs and take demands from the viewers. Apart from enjoying songs some mobile DJs may also take up other obligations, such as emceeing, occasion coordination and sound engineering to make the occasion most memorable.
Club DJ:
A club DJ is an individual who plays music in bars, clubs, night clubs, raves and discotheques. The techniques and programming styles used by Club DJs are quite different from those used by mobile DJs. They usually concentrate more on beatmixing, beatmatching and managing the stage of power of the audience. Compared with mobile DJs, who use their own devices, team DJs usually use equipments which are hired one.
Hip Hop DJ:
Hip hop DJs make songs by using DJ mixers and turntables. They usually choose and play music to back up the emcees, who act as the host of a function or performance.
